A. Piriyapokanon is an experimental filmmaker and interdisciplinary artist who graduated from the Motion Pictures and Still Photography Department at Chulalongkorn University. She possesses a strong appreciation for art that revolves around the lives affected by physical and mental oppression due to intergenerational trauma, social injustice, and politics.
Her works have participated in the Thai Short Film and Video Festival, Purin Pictures’ Short Film Camp, Tawee Ratchaneekorn Art Gallery, Bangkok Art & Culture Centre, 6060 Art Space, No Nation Art Gallery, International Museum of Surgical Science, and Gene Siskel Film Center.
A. Piriyapokanon is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Film, Video, New Media, and Animation at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
